Nurturing you through pregnancy, postpartum, and life after loss.

At Blossoms of Change Counseling, we offer perinatal therapy to the New York and Long Island community, helping you find healing, balance, and strength during every stage of your journey.

Birth Trauma

Your birth experience stays with you, but it doesn't have to keep haunting you.

Whether your delivery involved a medical emergency, felt frightening or out of control, or simply left you feeling like something went deeply wrong, birth trauma is real and it's more common than anyone talks about. EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain finish processing what it couldn't at the time, so the memory loses its grip without having to be endlessly re-examined.

Perinatal Mood Disorders

You love your baby. You also feel like you're disappearing. Both things can be true.

Postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, prenatal depression, postpartum OCD, postpartum rage, these are medical conditions, not failures. Up to 1 in 5 birthing people experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder, and most suffer far longer than necessary before getting help. Therapy can change that.

Infertility

The grief of infertility is real, even though the world often treats it like it isn't.

The monthly cycle of hope and loss. The physical and emotional toll of treatment. The relationships strained, the identity questions that surface when your body isn't doing what you believed it could. Therapy for infertility meets you where you actually are, not to help you "stay positive," but to help you stay whole.

Pregnancy Loss

Your baby was real. Your grief deserves a real place to live.

Miscarriage, stillbirth, TFMR, and neonatal loss are profound griefs that the world moves on from far too quickly. Therapy for pregnancy loss creates a space where your baby is acknowledged, your grief isn't minimized, and the full complexity of what you're carrying, including the parts that feel unspeakable, can be held without judgment.

Navigating the NICU

The NICU is one of the hardest things a parent can go through. You shouldn't have to do it without support.

Fear, grief, guilt, helplessness, and a kind of hypervigilance that doesn't turn off; NICU parents carry an enormous emotional weight that the hospital system rarely addresses. Whether your baby's stay is ongoing or you're still processing it long after discharge, therapy creates a space to put some of that weight down.

You've already done something brave by looking for support. The next step is simple: a free 15-minute consultation, just to talk, ask questions, and see if we're a good fit
